Darlene Regis The Filipino community (FilCom) in Qatar is set to celebrate the ‘most inclusive’ 126th Philippine Independence Day (PID) with a slew of programmes depicting the Philippines’ rich cultural tapestry and historical significance of the day. As PID 2024 celebration draws near, the hot and humid weather has not deterred the Filipinos’ patriotic zest to commemorate the Philippine Independence and Nationhood on June 12. This year’s celebration, touted as ‘Makulay Ang Kalayaan 2024’, is bursting into vibrant hues and lively festivities.
Here’s a look at the Filipinos’ month-long colourful, diverse, and fun-filled celebrations of unity and freedom this PID 2024: KulinaryaQatar, in collaboration with Eventive Management, presents Eid Al Adha Family Day in conjunction with PID 2024 and Philippine Food Festival. A mega series of events is slated to happen from June 14 to 16 at Al-Arabi Sports Club, New Salata.
