Christian McCaffrey is calling a flag on this criticism. The San Francisco 49ers player clapped back after a fashion influencer disapproved of the Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress Olivia Culpo wore to the couple's June 29 ceremony in Rhode Island. After Kennedy Bingham criticized Culpo for saying she didn't want the gown to "exude sex" at her nuptials, McCaffrey came to his wife's defense.

"What an evil thing to post online," he commented under the critic's July 1 Instagram post. "I hope you can find joy and peace in the world, the way my beautiful wife does." The stylist replied to McCaffrey in the comment section, calling his message "patriarchal" and asking why he thought it was evil for her to be "pointing out the potential internalized misogyny behind her reasoning.

" In her video, Bingham had explained that the bridal dress was "beautiful, simple, elegant," but noted it was Culpo's explanation of the style that irked her. "It’s all the stuff surrounding the dress that leaves kind of a bitter aftertaste," she said. "There is nothing wrong with wanting a modest wedding dress.

" However, she took issue with Culpo "pushing this idea of what she thinks all brides should look like" by saying her skinless style showed more reverence for marriage. "You could get married in your underwear and take your wedding vows very seriously," Bingham shared. "It has been documented that it does not matter what women wear—they will be sexualized if someone wants to sexualize them.

So, to tre.
