Since it began in 2015, The Yorkshire Vet has won over not only dedicated fans in ­Britain but also devotees across the world gripped by its nail-biting mix of turmoil and, thankfully, teary happy endings. Embarking on its 18th series tomorrow, its 200th episode promises to bring all the heart-warming drama that has made it a huge hit in 40 countries, and which regularly entices two million ­stalwart viewers to tune in every week. Surgery on a French Bulldog called Bruce takes an unexpected turn when the potentially ­life-threatening bladder stones vet Julian Norton, 51, is trying to remove move from the bladder and get lodged in the penis.
