HEARTBREAKING tributes have poured in for a "caring and kind" young man who was killed in a motorbike accident on Monday. Harry Johnstone, who was just 25-years-old, sadly died in crash involving a motorbike and a car at around 11pm in Curravarahane, Bandon. He was fatally injured in the smash and his body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem took place.

The other person involved in the accident, an elderly man who was driving the car, is understood to have escaped without serious injuries. Harry, from Ballincollig and formerly Cloughduv, was a mechanic with a huge enthusiasm for motorcycles and cars. He is survived by his parents Tony and Karyn and has been fondly remembered as the "cherished partner" of Ava O’Callaghan.



A notice online, which said he died "unexpectedly, following an accident", reads: "Deeply missed by his heartbroken parents, his devoted sister Marie and longterm girlfriend Ava, her mum Laura and her brothers, grandparents Tom and Olive, brother-in-law Adam, his two nieces Aimee and Emily, godparents Ann and Seamus, aunties, uncles, his many cousins, work colleagues and a wide circle of friends." The local community have been left heartbroken by the tragedy, with tributes continuing to pour in for tragic Harry. One friend: "Harry was a great friend.

Had the pleasure to train with him in Dublin for the NCT, he was funny but also caring and kind. RIP my friend." Another mourner said Harry was a "beautiful little soul with a great sens.
