Offering everything from spa treatments to hiking to yoga, My Arbor in the Dolomites, on border of Italy and Austria, is probably better known as a ski destination. But we travelled out of season in springtime to try it out as a wellness destination and find out if just the very act of being mindful in the mountains is the perfect antidote to stress.
We arrived in the dark, so the first view of the mountain comes from the floor to ceiling window leading to the balcony of our ‘nest’ room on the first morning, and it is truly spectacular. What we quickly learn is that the hotel has been designed to ensure the mountain is the main event wherever you are. While enjoying an energising massage – with mountain pine oil, of course - the treatment room overlooks the peaks so that you can take it all in once you’re feeling suitably relaxed.
My Arbor in the Dolomit.
