British travellers will have their biometric information taken when arriving in the EU (Image: Getty) British tourists planning a visit to a European Union country will soon be "tracked" on arrival because of a new EU rule. Countries in the Schengen Area will roll out a new biometrics system from October 6 which will allow national authorities to keep track of visitors. The EU's new Entry and Exit System (EES) will be introduced on October 6 and will require travellers from outside the block to adhere to strict guidelines.
