Boots will be closing another pharmacy branch tomorrow as it pushes ahead with plans to shut 300 of its stores. The closure date for the high street giant's Queens Way store was confirmed in a sign in the window that read: "We’re closing. This store will close on 28 May 2024.

” The high street health and beauty retailer will pull down shutters for good at 9pm on Tuesday May 28. However, shoppers should not be disappointed as a new bigger Boots store will be opening nearby the very next day. The retailer said the new store - located a short walk from the old - will feature a new pharmaceutical service with a private double consultation room and will have longer opening hours.

Alongside this, the new Boots branch will have a beauty hall with new brands such as IT Cosmetics, Urban Decay, The Ordinary and Liz Earle. The new store will be located at 166 - 172 Queensway. On the new store, a Boots spokesperson said: "A brand-new Boots store is set to open in Queensway, London on Wednesday morning.

The new look store includes a selection of exciting new brands and an updated health and beauty shopping experience. The existing store in Queensway will close on Tuesday evening. We look forward to welcoming customers to our new store soon.
