has kickstarted a number of careers but for Maitland Ward, she felt as though she needed to "reinvent" herself after leaving the soap. " She also praised the cast for taking care of her during her time on the show. The actress said: "Coming out of the show was just mind-blowing because I was just immersed in this world and I was like a star on the show when I had been a fan for so long and the cast was amazing, they really took care of me. When I was 16 coming in because they were all worried I was gonna go wild so they all very much kept hold on me that way.
