Miss World Philippines 2023 Gwendolyne Fourniol of Negros Occidental will crown her successor on July 19, Friday, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Miss World 2023 Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic and Miss World founder Julia Morley will also grace the coronation night. Of the 33 contestants vying for the new crown called “Rays of Hope,” made by Oro China Jewelry, a number of them have emerged as favorites: Baguio’s Krishnah Gravidez; Dia Maté of Cavite; Jasmine Omay of Tarlac; Dolly Cruz of Malaybalay, Bukidnon; Bianca Tapia of Batangas; Kapitolyo, Pasig’s Riana Agatha Pangindian; Quezon City’s Christine Chagas; Manila’s Gabrielle Marie Lantzer; and Bicol Region’s Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano.

But a “dark horse” is galloping over the competition: the dusky beauty from Quezon Province, Maria Andrea Endicio. She is a pharmacy graduate from the University of Santo Tomas who deems herself an “exceptionally empowered woman.” She is a former courtside reporter at the UAAP Varsity Channel and works as a courtside reporter at Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.



Andrea, 24, is already a Top 3 finalist of the Miss Charity Fast-track, and a Top 10 finalist of the National Costume Fast-track Challenge. She is also a Top 10 finalist of the all-important Beauty With a Purpose (BWAP) event.
