Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from wife Firerose, it has been claimed. The Achy Breaky Heart singer, dad of Miley Cyrus , married his bride last October following a whirlwind relationship. However, according to reports, the 62-year-old has already opted call time on their marriage just months after they tied the knot .
TMZ reports that he quietly submitted paperwork to end things at the end of last month. Neither have spoken publicly over the claims and are no longer following one another on Instagram, but still have romantic pictures visible on their separate pages. This marks the country legend’s third divorce – he split from first wife Cindy Smith in 1991 after five years of marriage.
He then walked down the aisle with Tish Cyrus in 1993, and they welcomed Miley, Noah and Braison together – while he also adopted Tish’s children, Brandi and Trace, from a previous relationship. The former couple ended their romance in 2022, and swiftly moved on – Tish married Dominic Purcell last summer . Billy Ray and fellow musician Firerose made their bond public in 2022, and he popped the question in August of that year.
Last October, they took things to the next level in an ‘ethereal’ celebration surrounded by most of their loved ones, but Miley is not thought to have been in attendance. They first met years ago on the set of Hannah Montana, the series that transformed his daughter into a household name. In a candid chat with People Magazine, he previously recalled.
