The victim of the crash, has been named locally on social media as Kelsie Stevens. Friends and colleagues have rushed to social media to pay tribute, describing her as “brave, strong, and talented”. Four men and a woman have been arrested following the crash after a Mercedes left the road and veered into the ditch.

Kelsie was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. In a post on Facebook, Amy’s Unisex Hair Salon where Kelsie worked paid tribute to her. The post said: “Devastated to have to post this.



We lost a member of our team today, Kelsie. You’ll be missed our Krazy Kelsie. “We will miss your mad ways, the endless cans of red bull floating around the salon and the mad stories you kept us entertained with.

“Our love and thoughts go out to your family and friends. Fly High Beautiful girl.” Dozens of people responded to Essex Police’s Facebook post writing “RIP Kelsie” and leaving tribute to the teenager.

Alex Myers, Conservative councillor responsible for the Castledon and Crouch ward, said: “My condolences to the families and friends on what must be an absolutely terrible time for them. “To lose two so young, with their lives ahead of them, is an absolute tragedy. “I know investigations are ongoing by the authorities to find the causes for these two terrible, terrible incidents, but of course it will not take away the pain and hurt that both the families are feeling.

” Four males, aged 74, 54, 18 and 16, all from Billericay, and one woman, aged.
