The brother of a 14-year-old boy who went missing in the Mersey was praised for his bravery after he tried to save him. to beach at around 7pm on Sunday, June 30, following reports a teenage boy had vanished near the radar tower. The call-out sparked a huge response from police, fire and rescue services, the coastguard and the RNLI.
The path to the radar tower was closed off and police officers directed passers-by away from the area as the search continued. The teenager, now named as , has not been found and on Monday, July 1, the coastguard confirmed the search has been .
