inquirer.net/1959508/banned-beauty-products-still-sold-in-some-taguig-shops “To protect our children’s health, we need to impose a full ban on hazardous chemicals in school supplies and other children’s products,” EcoWaste Coalition national coordinator Aileen Lucero was quoted as saying in a release. “[W]e need to make it mandatory for the chemical ingredients of a product to be clearly marked on the packaging, starting with products marketed for children’s use such as school supplies and toys,” she added.
The World Health Organization said lead may cause developmental disorders among children, as well as other illnesses in the cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and renal systems.
