A staggering 17 years have flown by since the iconic British sitcom Benidorm first hit our television screens. The riotous ITV comedy had Brits rolling with laughter starring a variety of humorous characters, from eccentric families and lovelorn couples to playful swingers. These characters portrayed the vast range of holidaymakers that flocked to the sunny Spanish resort for their summer escapades.

Benidorm, the brainchild of Derren Litten, chalked up a successful 10 series run, humourously intertwining tales of tourists and hotel staff at the Solana resort whose lives comically intersect during their sun-soaked holidays. A stand-out character was Chantelle 'Telle' Garvey, a beloved part of the droll Garvey family. Played by actress Hannah Hobley Telle was renowned for being bright and cheeky which quickly made her a fan favourite.

Her laugh-a-minute plotlines captivated the audience, featuring secret baby bumps and a whirlwind romance with Geoff (portrayed by Johnny Vegas), ensuring viewers were absolutely engrossed in Telle's adventures. Over three seasons of Benidorm, Hannah won over nationwide audiences, and also landed a role as Bertha in the BBC series Cranford, reports the Daily Record .
