Visitors to a popular North Staffordshire beauty spot are facing a potentially long diversion - with a key road closed until November. A major project has got underway at Knypersley Reservoir to improve its 'resilience for the future'. But the scheme on Greenway Bank will see a section of road - between two entrances to the beauty spot - shut until November.

The 'essential' works are focused on the spillway to improve the safe release of water, and the wave wall. Efforts will also be focused on drainage and other repairs.
