Israel on Monday asked its citizens to visit Indian beaches and shared several recommendations for the same. This comes after Maldives banned Israeli tourists and declared support for Palestine, in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Israel thus became the second country to boycott Maldives, after Indian tourists did the same earlier this year.
Male : In yet another blow to Maldives, Israel has asked its citizens to visit Indian beaches instead of beaches in Maldives. The move comes after the announcement by the archipelago nation that it will ban Israeli tourists. The announcement from Male came after the country’s leadership decided to rally behind Palestine, against whom Israel is fighting an all-out war.
Israel asks citizens to visit India As a retaliation against Male, Israel urged its citizens to visit India instead of Maldives. The ‘X’ handle which goes by the name Israel in India and says that it works towards promoting good relations between Israel and India, recommended some beaches which Israelis can visit, after Male’s ban. All the beaches suggested by them were in India.
Israel shared pictures from Lakshadweep, Goa, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Kerala. Along with the pictures, the text they shared read, “Since the Maldives is no longer welcoming Israelis, here are some beautiful and amazing Indian beaches where Israeli tourists are warmly welcomed and treated with utmost hospitality.
