Monday mornings can be a bit drab, but never in Penarth and especially this Monday morning, June 17, when there was the buzz of movie making magic with lights and cameras set up outside one of the town’s most popular bakeries, Brod, on Glebe Street. Filming was said to be taking place for BBC comedy drama ; a murder mystery starring BAFTA winning Timothy Spall ( ) and Gwyneth Keyworth ( ). To add the excitement a Welsh opera legend was seen casually walking round the set.
Sir Bryn Terfel Jones was seen walking amongst the set before doing his bit for charity and handing a few bits into the Cancer Research charity shop next door. was reliably told what was being filmed while also being informed Mr Jones had nothing to do with the production, he was just out doing his morning choirs..
