Strictly Come Dancing stars have been slammed by fans for staying silent as Giovanni Pernice faces misconduct allegations. The professional dancer is at the centre of claims following his most recent stint on the BBC dance competition. He was partnered with actress Amanda Abbington on the 2023 series, who quit early citing medical reasons.
She later went on to claim she suffered from post traumatic stress disorder following her time on the show, The Mirror reports . It was later reported Amanda reportedly told pals she felt Giovanni, 33, was "abrasive" with her while training. Giovanni issued a statement where he denied any suggestion of "abusive or threatening behaviour".
He wrote: "To my dear fans, you will be as surprised as I am that allegations have been made about my dance teaching methods in the media this week. Of course, I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name. Those who have followed my journey on Strictly Come Dancing over the last decade will know that I am passionate and competitive.
