BBC bosses are eyeing a contestant from The Traitors for a spot on Strictly Come Dancing . Eager to use the new BBC programme's popularity to continue to boost their flagshit show, which is also helmed by Strictly host Claudia Winkleman, producers are considering runner-up Mollie Pearce and winner Harry Clark. It comes after bosses reportedly approached businessman David Fishwick for the show.

He made his fortune selling minibuses before going on to set up a community bank lending out his own money following the 2008 crash . Burnley Savings and Loans was set up the same year, helping people in the Lancashire town who were struggling to get loans following the banking crisis. David went on to become the subject of Netflix series Bank of Dave as well as a Channel 4 documentary.

"Strictly is still four months away and there's still so much to play for, but The Traitors are obviously at the forefront of everyone's mind," a source told The Sun. "It would also be a nice tie-in given both shows are hosted by Claudia Winkleman." Bosses are keen for either Harry Clarke or Mollie Pearce "Mollie's presence would also be a hugely positive moment of representation for people, like her, who have a disability.

But, just as with 'The Traitors', she first has to fend off the competition from rivals Paul [Gorton] and Harry." A Strictly spokesperson responded to the claims: "We do not comment on speculation." Other stars rumoured for the new 'Strictly' season include Olympic cyclist Laura Kenny.
