EMMA LOUISE JONES has given fans an update on her health after taking a step back from work. The fan-favourite BBC presenter revealed that she underwent surgery last month. Emma , 34, has since been on steroids and other medications and is now on the mend.
The presenter also admitted that she has been spending her time walking her dog and gardening after being "stuck" in bed for "months". She gave her fans the update on social media by posting on Instagram for her 424K followers. She wrote: "Hello! Thank you for all of your lovely messages checking in about my health.
"I had an op a month ago. I’m on high-dose steroids and trialling other medication and (touch wood) I’m feeling so much stronger. "Life is very simple right now.
"I spend my days walking Teddy, painting and gardening (Nanna would be proud)." Emma continued as she insisted that she is aiming to return to work in a "few weeks". "I'm hoping to slowly return to work in a few weeks, but after months of being stuck in bed in pain, I'm just grateful that I feel stronger each day.
"Life is beautiful." Emma is a devout Leeds United supporter who joined the Beeb three years ago. She has a Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism and began her career as a freelance journalist for Channel 5 News.
