So, she created The Canadian beauty brand offers ‘inclusive’ makeup products formulated for diverse skin tones and textures. We caught up with Hameed to learn more: Basma Beauty is an inclusive makeup brand that formulates products to align with individual skin types, concerns and preferences that determine when, why and how you prefer your makeup to work. When I was only two years old, I suffered third-degree burns on half of my face.



As you could imagine, growing up was very challenging. I couldn’t walk into a room without people staring at my face. This resulted in me turning to makeup at an early age.

Makeup became my source of confidence and self-expression. However, I faced frustration and disappointment when mainstream beauty brands didn’t cater to my needs, turning me to “clinical” products that lacked the inclusivity I desired. I was determined to create a makeup brand that welcomed everyone and celebrated diversity, My passion for makeup combined with my experience as a burn survivor inspired me to pioneer the Scar Camouflage procedure, offering a solution that transformed my own life and thousands of others facing similar challenges.
