Holly Arrowsmith releasesmoving Americana single 'Blue Dreams', completing hertrilogy of deeply personal tracks from her upcoming album, also entitled Blue Dreams, scheduled for release on 26 July2024 on Leather Jacket Records. Holly's storytellingin 'Blue Dreams' explores her experience of first-timeparenthood, her honest narrative and intimate vocalscaressing the song's imagery into the ether. Although thesemoments are very much her own, they are profoundlyunderstood by many others.

Holly says, "I was a first-timeparent in the middle of a pandemic, surviving in those earlydays of chronic sleep deprivation. I realised I had neverheard a song about this transition, especially about howhard it can be in those first months when you are soexhausted and trying to work it all out. I felt this hugeburden of responsibility, bringing life into such aturbulent world.

" Finding solace in community, Holly soughtrefuge in conversation with other people. A repetition ofthemes emerged: loneliness, worry, exhaustion, loss ofidentity, evolution, awe, deep love, protectiveness, responsibility. "I wanted to show a real domestic scene, nota glorified one.

The often invisible work of Mothers, especially. Those messy, imperfect, sometimes lonely, tenderand mundane days with your beautiful baby, time insuspension - for a time." 'Blue Dreams' begins withmulti-tracked acoustic guitar, followed by the warmresonance of Holly's vocals, creating an Americana groovereminiscent of early 1970s Neil Young.
