Not pictured is cllr Ivan Keatley Athy councillors were presented with a beautiful plaque at their final meeting ahead of the upcoming local elections. The plaque was by Kevin Carton (chairperson) and John Roche (secretary) from the Athy St Michael’s branch of the O.N.



E – Óglaigh Náisiúnta nah Éireann, an organisation of national ex-service personnel. It was a show of appreciation for the way they support the organisation. The plaque was presented at Athy MD’s May meeting in Áras Chill Dara in Naas, at which O.

N.E CEO Cormac Kirwan spoke about what the organisation does. O.

N.E supports the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless veterans and the provision of other advice and support through its nationwide network of branches and veteran support centres. The local St Michael’s branch was formed in 2013.
