BRAINERD — Arts in the Park is back for another year at Brainerd’s Gregory Park. Nearly 100 artists across various media will have their work for sale at this year’s event, which is set for 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 30, and put on by Brainerd Community Action.
“It’s really the premier art show here in the Brainerd lakes,” Community Action Executive Director Dave Badeaux said. New and returning artists alike will set up shop, and they’ll again be joined by the Community Corner, featuring local nonprofits. “That’s a great opportunity for people that have a message in the community to just get in front of a large audience and show what they’re all about,” Badeaux said.

Food trucks will be set up at the park as well, giving attendees something to munch on as they peruse the artwork. Arts in the Park is a great way for artists to get their work out in front of the community, Badeaux said, and is something to get families out and about. “It’s just a great opportunity to get out with the family in a beautiful park and take a look at all of these offerings that these small businesses have,” he said.
The first clue for this year’s brand new Fourth of July treasure hunt will be released at 4 p.m. at Gregory Park, following the conclusion of Arts in the Park.
