The annual Arbor Oaks Beauty Pageant held Friday was fantastic fun, as always—both for the contestants, and for an audience consisting of adoring family members, friends and Arbor Oaks employees. Over half a dozen female residents of the local healthcare/rehab facility dressed to the nines and otherwise got “all glammed up” to parade in front of the judges, who had no easy task at hand when they chose Ms. Joetta Reggans as the newly-crowned Arbor Oaks Beauty Queen after a short round of questions and some rousing applause from attendees.
Recognized in the pageant alongside Reggan were Stacy Hiatt as Second Runner Up and Connie Cheatham as First Runner Up. Also gracing the competition in gorgeous gowns, with their dazzling smiles and sparkling personalities, were contestants Karen Wunderlic, Cynthia Matticola, Doris Fielder and Earnstine Dodson. Judges for this year’s pageant were Brandi Ray, Sr.
retail loan officer and Asst. VP at Farmer’s Bank & Trust; Heather Smith, financial advisor with Edward Jones; and Robbia Lea, “First Lady” at Greater New Hope Baptist Church. The lively special guest serving as MC for this year’s pageant ceremony was Sherry Cunningham, regional manager for Group Purchasing Advantage (GPA), a healthcare service provider with Arbor Oaks that’s been serving the healthcare needs of Arkansans since 1987.
Activities Director Kathy Florence, co-worker Bobbie Walker and several other Arbor Oaks staff members worked hard to decorate the dini.
