Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have announced that they have separated , with the news this week coming following weeks of speculation about their relationship. A joint statement was issued by the former couple - who previously hosted This Morning together - on Saturday. The statement read: "[Ruth] and [Eamonn] have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.
" The pair are said to have first met in 1997 and they later got married in 2010. Eamonn, 64, and Ruth, also 64, are parents to son Jack, 22, together. The family also includes GB News host Eamonn's three children from a previous marriage.
It's been suggested that Eamonn and Ruth have parted ways because of their respective careers. A source told the Sun that work commitments "took them in different directions," though the source then added that the former couple intend to remain 'friends' and "keep things amicable". The announcement comes following concern about their relationship in recent weeks, with there having been split rumours earlier this month.
Fans reportedly noticed that the pair hadn't been pictured together in months.
