Definitely plan a night at the Buffalo Zoo!” Those were just a few of the comments from Western New Yorkers as the Buffalo Zoo announced the return of Zoomagination this summer. The popular after-hours exhibition of lanterns and lights will return for a third year on June 21 and run through Sept. 22, featuring more than 30 all-new displays and themes centered around African and Asian animals and culture.

Drawing 80,000 people in its first two summers at the zoo, Zoomagination has become a must-see event for families and people of all ages, says Christian Dobosiewicz, communications manager for the Buffalo Zoo. “Summer nights at the zoo, surrounded by Delaware Park, are some of the most beautiful evenings in all of Western New York,” he says. “It’s a great place to come and enjoy dinner with the family and walk around and experience these breathtaking lantern displays you don’t get to experience anywhere else in our region.
