The concept of space travel is a mysterious one that ignites a sense of awe and wonder in us all. Beyond the beautiful, twinkling night sky lies a vast universe beyond our wildest imagination; one many of us fantasise about someday exploring. But whilst space exploration remains a distant daydream, Sheffield-based Diatom Watches has released a beautiful new timepiece created from meteorite and material from historic Apollo 11 - giving space enthusiasts the unique opportunity to carry a small piece of the universe with them wherever they go.

The launch of the Blue Dot - inspired by Carl Sagan's description of the Earth from space as a 'pale blue dot' - offers a timeless connection to the cosmos. Blending the marvels of space exploration with the precision of expert watchmaking, the Blue Dot was thoughtfully designed to capture the essence of our humble planet's place in the vast universe. The design features a prominent metallic ring symbolising the sun's influence, a delicately crafted curve which represents the Earth's horizon, and an intriguing embellishment containing material from the Apollo 11 Command Module, symbolising the mystical moon's orbit.

The beautiful watch is complete with inlaid Gibeon meteorite, paying homage to space exploration and connecting the wearer to billions of years of the history of the universe. Beyond the interstellar materials incorporated into the Blue Dot’s classic design, wearers will have the bragging rights of owning a watch that has jou.
