The launch of the Blue Dot - inspired by Carl Sagan's description of the Earth from space as a 'pale blue dot' - offers a timeless connection to the cosmos. The design features a prominent metallic ring symbolising the sun's influence, a delicately crafted curve which represents the Earth's horizon, and an intriguing embellishment containing material from the Apollo 11 Command Module, symbolising the mystical moon's orbit.
