FURIOUS locals have blasted "car camping" NC500 tourists after they took over a bus shelter and turned it into a makeshift kitchen. The visitors looked to have turned the bus shelter into their own personal kitchen space to wash their dishes having parked their car nearby. The unusual scene was spotted at the Scourie bus stop in Lairg - a common stopping point on the famous roadtrip route. It's understood the tourists were travelling the route while camping in their vehicle, but not all sites allow for car-only access.
