A RUSTY 1979 Chevrolet truck has been rescued after being abandoned in woods for 30 years. A dad and son team brought chainsaws to hack away branches that were trapping the classic vehicle . "It looks to be in awful shape but don't let looks deceive you," the men told other car enthusiasts on YouTube .

In their 45-minute-long YouTube video, motoring gurus Patrick and his son Jacob, filming as DontbeWily ( @DontbeWily ) and DBW4shorts ( @DBW4shorts ) explained how they found the abandoned 1979 C 20 Chevy truck rusting away. "We are going to try to start it," said Patrick as they carefully picked their way through the woodland on a large farm. "This thing has been sitting here forever, and it's got a great anti-theft device on it," he added, referring to the branches twisting through the vehicle.

The rats have been there a while, that's not good. The men found several rats' nests, an empty tank and "no beauty mirror." "They've (the rats) been there a while, that's not good," Patrick told his sons.

While birds tweeted in the background in the isolated rural setting, the men noted that the classic vehicle had been there for so long that an oak tree had grown right around - and even through - it. "So we have a '79 model custom deluxe Chevrolet truck that we're pretty sure has been sitting in this very spot for 35 years," viewers were told. When the men lifted the bonnet, Patrick was dismayed to see damage to the wires.

"I see the rats have chewed a plug...
