A resort in the Lone Star State took a cue from a famed Lake Como hotel with the addition of its gorgeous new “floating pool.” Horseshoe Bay Resort , a golf and lakeside resort less than an hour outside of Austin and set in Texas Hill Country, opened the new pool on the edge of constant-level Lake Lyndon B.

Horseshoe Bay Resort’s owner says the unique swim deck at the Texas resort was inspired by his family’s own European travels. “Through our business in the aviation industry, my family and I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and have spent time in many beautiful locales,” the resort’s CEO Jordan Jaffe said. “One of those areas is Lake Como where we have seen resorts and hotels fulfill guest needs with floating pools to complement the lack of a sandy shoreline.
