- 5 bridges leading to pasture zones of Jeti-Oguz district of Issyk-Kul region were constructed and restored, the district's department of agriculture reported. 2 of the bridges were commissioned. A bridge in Kulagan-Tash area of Juuku pass was restored at an estimated cost of 600,000 soms.

Cattle breeders from 30 settlements of Jeti-Oguz district cross this bridge together with their cattle. The similar bridge was constructed in Dunguromo pass. Over 100,000 cattle are moved across this bridge for grazing in the pasture zone of Issyk-Kul region.



Local farmers have been asking for the construction and restoration of bridges for 30 years. Jeti-Oguz district is home to Ak-Shyirak rural municipality, which is a pasture zone that is difficult to access. One must overcome 300 km road from the district center to reach the destination through Sook gorge and pass the checkpoint of the Kara-Sai border outpost.

Cold temperature persists in this area for more than 7 months a year, with the lowest air temperature dropping to -40. The village is located at an altitude of 3,820 meters above sea level. Before going there, people should pass medical examination to avoid blood pressure hikes.

Despite harsh weather conditions, residents of Ak-Shyirak, Uch-Koshkon, Kara-Sai villages, as well as shepherds staying for winter in Pikertyk zone claim to be used to the climate and will never leave such beauty..
